Welcome to Scaling UDL
From the Classroom to the Entire College
How to Use This Course
Universal design for learning (UDL) provides the framework for this applied professional learning experience. You will move beyond isolated classroom strategies and examine how design choices across a college can reduce or recreate barriers. You will read, watch, listen, explore, make decisions, try small actions in your own context, and build tangible work you can use after the course.
Learn β Act β Notice β Return
Complete a module, choose its Do It Today action, give yourself time to try or investigate it, then record what happened in your Guidebook. You may spread the experience across several days or several weeks. The goal is not speed; it is useful application.
Your work is designed to travel with you.
The personalized Guidebook combines reference tools with editable spaces for your decisions, calls to action, reflections, and module artifacts. In this downloadable version, entries are stored in the browser on the device you are using. Changing devices or browsers, using private browsing, or clearing browser data may remove saved work, so print or save your Guidebook periodically.

Completion is based on evidence, not just page visits.
Each module objective is paired with an assessment or artifact. Across the course you will complete scenario-based knowledge checks, interactive analyses, a UDL Lens Map, Audience Snapshot, Barrier Audit, redesign, Scaling Conditions Map, reusable artifact, and 30/60/90 Sustainability Plan. Major artifacts include a Meets/Revise self-check so you can revise before marking the work complete.
Use the pathway that helps you learn.
Where the learning goal allows it, choose among text, visuals, video, audio, interactive exploration, and application. Read-aloud controls are available throughout the course. Meaningful images include text alternatives, media resources include transcripts or accessible fallbacks when available, and optional resources are not hidden requirements.
Seven modules. Tangible work. One personalized Guidebook.
You will leave with concrete tools and a reusable artifact, not only a roadmap. Your Do It Today choices also save to the Guidebook so you can document what happened when you acted on them.
